Things to do in 2011
1. Learn Chinese
2. Study abroad in Europe
3. become a tour guide at UCLA
4. write a screenplay
5. get a 4.0 at UCLA
6. relearn Piano theory so I can teach piano LOL
7. intern/volunteer at an elementary/middle/high school as a TA or intern at a film industry
8. go to New York or Canada
9. Study Bible with my name engraved
10. start a blog for books i read
11. Finish the Old Testament
12. to pray for **** everyday so that she will come to know Christ
13. to be continued...
These dont count as new years resolutions, i hope, because that would mean i would fail to keep them. these are more... goals of the year to accomplish.

1. China/Inner Mongolia/Korea in the summer
2. CORE and Missions Committee :)
3. Jr High staff for 6th grade girls
4. moving into the apartments! yay!
5. Sing-off Finale screening and meeting Committed
6. not getting the RA position
7. new laptop
8. Monopoly Deal

"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

I read this somewhere on someone's facebook.. i don't rememeber where.
I was walking to the bank in the super windy night yesterday. When a HUGE wind almost blew me away, I said, "Wind, do you know how big my God is?"
and then the wind stopped.
I felt really dumb talking to Wind, but I think I made a new friend. :)

Betting on God
I'll be leaving for China in a week - and it finally hit me that it might be impossible to raise enough funds to cover my m-ssion trip. Yesterday, I was scared, worried, upset, and angry at myself for my circumstances that kept me from preparing ahead. But I know it's God when a certain peace falls over me, reminding me that God is faithful through all circumstances. As I was reading Jeremiah today, I took some time to consider the promises that were currently being fulfilled and the ones that have been recently fulfilled. I don't think I take enough time to reflect on my prayers and see how they were answered, but whenever I do, it really magnifies God's glory and his hand moving in my life.
In Jeremiah 32, Jeremiah buys a piece of land while he's in prison - and not just any land, but a place where the Babylonians were camping out - when it was the last thing people expected him to do. But to him, it was completely rational - God promised him that it will be of use in the future. Interesting enough, I feel that I'm at a similar point, but my mistake was that I relied too heavily on God carrying the promise out when I didn't do my part in "buying the land". So, I'm willing to place all my chips on him, because honestly, it's not even a gamble because God will never lose a bet or disregards a promise. I don't know what going to happen next, but one thing for sure - going to Chiina is another promise that is currently being fulfilled.
